Our Impact Story

Dechomai’s inception emerged from a profound observation by our founder and Managing Director, Bayile Adeoti, during her tenure in the hospitality industry. Recognising the dearth of diversity, especially in managerial roles, she envisioned a platform addressing the lack of Global Majority role models in business. Initially focusing on events to foster support and income, our journey took a significant turn during the pandemic. Adapting swiftly, we launched Dechomai gift hampers, bringing a semblance of normalcy to celebrations via Zoom. Innovatively using vibrant African patterns, we introduced Ankara aprons, further sustaining our operations.

Presently, our focus has shifted towards courses and a forthcoming marketplace, aiming to comprehensively empower Global Minority female entrepreneurs on their entrepreneurial odyssey.
